Barbara Ehrenreich: Positive Thinking Can Be A Trap

A further entry on our reading and video recommendation list is dedicated to Barbara Ehrenreich. She stands up to unreflected positive thinking as an ideology to cover up and avoid learning and improvement. In a determined and quite outspoken manner she confronts both unreflected positive mantras and gloomy negativity alike. In contrast she advocates radical realism: Only once problems are being recognized there’s a way to address them and to find solutions. 1030px-Barbara_Ehrenreich_2_by_David_Shankbone

She applies her concept to the life of the individual as well as to organizations respectively to society itself.
